Here are some opening lines which are designed to do what they're meant to do: open conversation, compliment and elicit a positive response. The contrary approach:   Unfortunately the problem I find is that when I find myself attracted to someone they are invariably not interested in me and on the other hand if I am not interested then they seem to become relaxed and get interested in me so although you are much to my liking that means I will not be to your liking and so nothing can eventuate which is a pity. I wish I were not interested in you so that maybe you would then be interested in me but the problem is it never works out with the ones that interest me and I only get the ones I don't want.
